Eberle KLR-E 527 23 Operating Instructions - page 2
Function:
As soon as ambient temperature is higher than set value
on display, heating cycle will be interrupted at heating
operation and cooling cycle will be closed at cooling
operation.
Wiring diagram is printed inside cover.
Setpoint adjustment:
When the + or – button is pressed, the controller assumes
the temperature setpoint setting mode and the present
setpoint is displayed. The displayed setpoint can now be
adjusted in 0.5 K steps to the required value with the +
and –buttons. The actual temperature can be displayed by
pressing the + and –buttons simultaneously.
If the room temperature exceeds or falls below the meas-
uring range limits (0…40°C), the letter “U” or “O” appears
on the display.
Compressor operating delay:
The compressor operating delay works on terminal 3. It
is ensured due to a minimum off time of 1/8 cycle time
= 0,5/2,5 minutes. This means that the compressor is
started always after 1/8 cycle time = 0,5/2,5 minutes after
a power failure and when stopped via switch or automatic
function.
Voltage failure:
In case of power failure the set-temperature will be saved.
Sensor fault:
In case of sensor fault, the internal sensor will be used.
3. Installation:
Mounting height: about 1.5 m above the floor.
External walls and draughts from windows and doors
should be avoided. Ensure that the normal convective air
of the room reaches the controller unhindered. The con-
troller should therefore not be mounted within shelf units
or behind curtains and similar coverings. Because heat
from external sources has a detrimental effect on the con-
trol precision, installation in direct sunlight, in the vicinity
of televisions, radios and heating appliances, lamps, chim-
ney stacks and heating pipes should be avoided.
4. Electrical connection:
Connnect all cables precisely as shown in the associated
circuit diagram. Conductor cross-section: 1 to 2.5 mm
2
solid conductor. No protective conductor is necessary as
the device is totally insulated.
When connecting a remote sensor (Illustration 3), it will
be used automatically.
When removing the remote sensor, the internal one will
be used automatically.
The remote sensor must be connected to terminals 11
and N. The sensor can be lengthened to about 50 m with
a two-core cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm. For ins-
tallation in cable ducts or in the vicinity of power cables, a
shielded cable must be used.

ATTENTION!
The device may only be opened and installed
according to the circuit diagram on the device or
these instructions by a qualified electrician. The
existing safety regulations must be observed.
Appropriate installation measures must be taken
to achieve the requirements of protection class II.
This independently mountable electronic device
is designed for controlling the temperature in
dry and enclosed rooms only under normal con
ditions. The device confirms to EN 60730, it works
according operating principle 1C.
1. Applications:
These air conditioning controllers are used in air
conditioning systems for the control of two-tube or
four-tube fan coils, heat pumps with reversing valve,
heat recovery systems, chilled-water systems, ventilation
systems, etc.
