The device
Remote control
Enjoy the comfort of being able to carry out all amplifi er main functions with the included
system remote control. The device has to be turned on to do so. You will also be able to use it
with further components from the X4-TECH Hi-Fi 1000 Series.
(1) Buttons for selecting a component
on the amplifi er
These buttons function exactly the
same way as the buttons on the device.
(2) BAND, MEMO SCAN and MEMO HOLD
Buttons used for operating the tuner:
BAND: Use this button to switch bet-
ween tuning ranges AM > FM > AM > FM …
MEMO SCAN: Scans through stations
previously stored on the station buttons.
MEMO HOLD: Turns the MEMO SCAN
function off and permanently plays the
station presently being heard.
(3) VOLUME
+/–
Increases/decreases the volume.
(4) EXTERNAL
PROCESSOR
Press to switch between equalizer
and
amplifi er.
(5) PRESET
EQ
For accessing the equalizer presettings of your amplifi er: A > B > C > D
(6) CD player function buttons
These buttons function exactly the same way as those on the CD player.
Inserting batteries/Changing batteries
Keep batteries out of children’s reach.
Batteries are hazardous waste and do not belong in household waste.
Ensure that batteries are always inserted according to the correct polarity.
Always remove batteries when not in use for longer periods of time.
Never leave batteries lying around unsupervised. These could pose a choking ha-
zard to children and pets if swallowed. Seek emergency medical care immediately,
should this happen.
Please follow the instructions of the manufacturer if you want to want to recharge a
rechargeable battery.
Batteries may not be exposed to excessive temperatures like they occur in the sunshi-
ne, a fi re or a baking oven. There is a risk of explosion! Make sure that batteries are
not dismantled or short-circuited. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. The-
re is a risk of explosion!
Touching leaking or damaged batteries could cause skin burns. Use suitable protec-
tive gloves when handling such batteries.
› Remove the battery compartment lid on the back of the remote control by carefully sliding and
removing it from the device.
› Insert two new (1.5V) AA batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity as
indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment.
› Carefully slide the lid back onto the battery compartment.
› Change the batteries as previously explained, when the operating distance between remote
control and device weakens or the remote control is not functioning properly any more.
› Only use alkaline batteries to ensure a longer battery life cycle.
› Always use batteries from the same manufacturer and never mix batteries, whether old with
new, of diff erent capacities or with rechargeable batteries.
