INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the SM-56 surface
mount speaker For the time-conscious installer, these
lightweight speakers provide phenomenal sound in
challenging acoustical environments while maintaining
minimal, discrete enclosures
The 5¼" speakers come complete with accompanying 1"
tweeters Each unit comes complete with a yoke mount
bracket for immediate installation High impact, weather-
resistant polystyrene enclosures are perfect for both
indoor and outdoor setups Asystems SM-56 speakers
are perfect for integration into 8Ω systems.
We know how eager you are to get started – hooking up
your new SM-56 speaker is probably your first priority
right now – but we would advise that you take the time
to look over this manual. Inside you’ll find important
safety considerations and operating instructions that
could prove helpful After reading the manual, we would
suggest putting it somewhere easy to find as you will
probably need to refer to it later on

WIRING
Wiring of the SM-56 speakers is accomplished through
typical banana plugs One is required for each the
negative and positive terminals The positive terminal is
red while the negative terminal is black
SAFETY
The SM-56 surface mount speakers should be installed
in accordance with all local safety codes and regulations
Licensed contractors and engineers are highly
recommended Asystems is not responsible for any
damage sustained from improper wiring and/or negligent
installation of bracket or loudspeaker systems
MOUNTING
The yoke bracket (see illustration below) should first be
attached to a structure capable of supporting the weight
of the SM-56 After this is done, the speaker can be
mounted on the yoke bracket using the provided thumb
screw Tighten the thumb screws appropriately so as to
hold the speaker firmly in place
A ball mount assembly (illustrated below) is also
available for the SM-56 speaker and is sold separately
This provides more versatile speaker angling as it
swivels upon a ball pivot Like the above yoke mount,
installation should first involve firmly attaching the ball
mount assembly to the wall The speaker can then be
attached by the available screw terminal Ensure the
speaker is fastened tight
