BEGINNER INSTRUCTIONS
BIG EZ-SKI is not intended for riders over 120 lbs. (54 kg) The BIG EZ SKI is not a flotation device. Riders should
wear a properly fitted Coast Guard approved flotation vest.
PRIOR TO USE: Adjust the skier’s rope length to fit rider’s height. Rider should be standing up with knees bent, lean-
ing back slightly with arms straight.
OBSERVER: Observer in the boat holds the other ski handle attached to the longer rope section. Observer must
release handle if skier falls. Observer should be an ADULT and position themselves in the boat allowing them to hold
the tow rope in a secure position. DO NOT TIE ROPE TO BOAT!
DRIVER: Boat Driver should pull slack out of the line before gently accelerating to pull up rider. Rider must hold on
tight during start up. DO NOT YANK ROPE DURING STARTS! DO NOT MAKE SHARP TURNS!
RIDER: Rider should start in a sitting position with feet in the bindings while holding ski handle attached to the BIG
EZ SKI. Rider should stay seated at first and then slowly stand up when they feel comfortable during the ride. Rider
must hold on tight and lean back, keeping legs and body position straight. Advise rider to sit back down if they are tired
or having trouble keeping their balance. Once the rider is comfortable standing on the BIG EZ SKI, they can practice
simple steering from right to left by shifting their body weight in the direction they want to go.
SPEED: Recommended speed ranges from 5mph (8 km/h) with Maximum of 10mph (16 km/h). Rider speeds vary
depending on weight, ability and water conditions. Riders should be aware of hand signals to be able to communicate
with driver on speeding up or slowing down or to cut/stop. The most common water ski hand signals are as follows:
