Set the radio to communicate with a repeater at 146.780– MHz, 100.0 Hz

Turn on the radio and make sure it’s unlocked

Select the upper display

Set the frequency
1 - 4 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 0

Set the repeater offset
M ENU - 26 - M ENU - 000600 - M ENU - EXIT
5.
Set the repeater shift direction (SFT-D)
M ENU - 25 - M ENU - (m inus) - M ENU - EXIT
6.
Set the transm it tone frequency (T-CTCS)
M ENU - 13 - M ENU - 1000 - M ENU - EXIT
7.
Set the transm it pow er level
M ENU - 2 - M ENU - HIGH - M ENU - EXIT
8.
Optional: turn off the TDR (I w ould, at first)
M ENU - 7 - M ENU - OFF - M ENU - EXIT
Your radio is now set to transm it as specified
Store the current repeater and tone settings in a memory channel

Follow the procedure above to set your radio
for the frequency of your choice

Clear target mem ory channel 36

Hear “delete channel”

Store the frequency in channel 36
M ENU - 27 - M ENU - 36 - M ENU - EXIT
Hear “receiving mem ory”

Now stored in m em ory channel 36
Recall a stored memory setting
1.
Press VFO/M R (channel mode)
2.
Press the up or dow n arrow s or enter the
three-digit channel num ber (all three digits)
0 - 3 - 6
The stored channel is now ready for use
