Connect the Hose
WARNING

Ensurethatyourvacuumsuctionfittingsinstalledinyourpoolforconnectionofyoursuction-side
poolcleanerarecertifiedasbeingcompliantwithapplicablesafetystandardssuchasIAPMOSPS4.Donot
blockthesuctionfittingswithanypartoryourbody.Donotexposeyourhair,looseclothing,jewelry,etc.toany
suctionoutletfittingsorhoseendsinthepool/spa.
Turn on the filtration system and fill the hose with water by placing the
end in front of a return inlet until it is flooded. Turn off the pump.
To connect to a dedicated suction line:
1. Twistlockthemaleendofthehoseintothelargeendofthe45°
elbow.
2. Connecttheelbowtothesafetyvacwallfitting.
3. Angletheelbowupwardtowardsthewatersurface.
To connect to a skimmer:
The FlowKeeper™ valve must always be used in single skimmer
installations.
Thevalveregulatesflowtoensurethepoolpump
andcleanerrunproperly.Itispre-setatthefactorytooptimizethe
performanceofthecleaner,butoffersthree(3)settingstoadjustthe
flow.
Thelowerthesettingnumber,thelowertheflow.Toadjust,pullthe
handleandmovesettingupordown.Theredtabcanbeusedtoopen
thevalveandstopthecleaner.
Ifthepoolhasmorethanoneskimmer,connectthehoseto
theoneclosesttothepump.
The parts used to connect the hose, and the sequence in which they
areinstalleddependsonthetypeofskimmer.
1. Removetheskimmerbasket.
2. InsertthevalvecuffandconnecttheFlowKeeperwiththearrow
pointingdowntowardstheskimmerpipe.
3. Choosethefittingcombinationthatbestsuitstheskimmerto
completetheconnection.
