YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada)
Limited doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that for a period of one year from
the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair
or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period.
Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available,
replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT
attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable.
Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service
centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and
conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or
misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly,
repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not
cover: Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or
statutory warranty or condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for
a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise.
JCS shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use
the product including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of
contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by any other party.
Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages
or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from province to province,
state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Problem
Probable Cause
Solution
The heater will
not power on.
Heater is not plugged into a 120V
polarized outlet/receptacle.
Ensure unit is in OFF position. Plug in unit and attempt to turn
on again.
Breaker/Fuse has been tripped.
Check your electrical box to confirm the breaker has not been
blown. This may occur if the receptacle is shared between
other high consumption appliances. Ensure unit is in the OFF
position. Plug in unit and attempt to turn on again. Attempt to
plug unit into another receptacle in the house.
Power light is
on, but no heat
is emitting from
the unit.
Room temperature has warmed up to
thermostat setting.
To increase the room temperature, adjust thermostat control
knob to a higher setting by turning clockwise.
The heating elements inside the unit
have not warmed up yet.
Allow 15 minutes after the unit has been turned on for the oil
fins to heat.
The heater is
creating a
burning smell.
Check & ensure there are no
combustible materials 3’ (0.9 m)
surrounding the heater.
Remove the combustible units adjacent to the heater.
The heater feet have not been
properly installed on the unit.
Follow assembly instructions on how to attach front and hind
legs to the unit.
The heater is
making small
crackling sounds.
It is normal for the heater to emit
small crackling sounds as it heats the
oil inside the fins.
Allow heater to operate for a period of time. After the heater
has warmed up, the crackling sounds should stop. Do not be
alarmed. It will go away after approximately 15 minutes.

besoin, de le brancher sur une autre prise de courant.
Le voyant de
sous tension luit
mais il ne se
dégage pas de
chaleur.
Le degré ambiant et le réglage du
thermostat sont identiques.
Réglez le thermostat à un niveau de température plus élevé.
Les éléments de chauffage intérieurs
n’ont pas eu le temps de réchauffer.
Patientez 15 minutes après la mise en marche, afin que les
éléments à bain d’huile chauffent.
Le radiateur
produit une
odeur de brûlé.
Vérifiez qu’il n’y ait pas de matières
combustibles à moins de 3 pi (0,9 m).

Les pieds du radiateur ont été mal
installés.
Observez les instructions d’assemblage pour monter les pieds
avant et arrière du radiateur.
Il se produit des
petits bruits
inattendus.
Il est normal que le radiateur émette
des crépitements lorsqu’il chauffe
l’huile à l’intérieur des éléments.
Laissez fonctionner l’appareil un certain temps. Ne vous
inquiétez pas, les crépitements devraient cesser après le
chauffage, soit au bout d’une quinzaine de minutes.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the heater before cleaning and allow the
heater to cool down.
1. Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild
soap and water solution.
2. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the
unit.
3. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a
cloth or towel.
NOTE: THE FINS ARE PERMANENTLY SEALED
AND DO NOT REQUIRE ANY OIL CHANGE.
CAUTION: DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO RUN
INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE HEATER AS THIS
COULD CREATE A FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK
HAZARD, DAMAGING THE UNIT.
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF
When a potential overheat temperature is reached, the
system will automatically shut the heater off.
Tip Over Shut-Off:
When the unit is accidentally knocked over, it will instantly
shut off. The unit may also shut off if it is moved or bumped.
To reset, simply place the heater in an upright position, and it
will operate normally.
NOTE:
If unit does not turn on when placed in the upright
position, press the Mode Button (Mode) on the control panel
and heater will resume operation.
HEATER STORAGE
1. Store heater unit with cord in a cool, dry location.
2. We recommend storing the unit and cord in the
original package.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
General Information:
Environmental Factors - There are a number of factors
that will affect your desired comfort level. These factors
can include insulation, open or drafty doors and windows,
and outside temperature. Please check and take action if
any of these potential problems are affecting your
heaters ability to adequately warm your room.
Supplemental Heat - Portable electric heaters are
intended for supplemental heating of rooms to heat the
room you are in and turn down the central heat
thermostat. They are not intended to replace central
heating systems.
Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical
or mechanical functions on this heater. Doing so
will void warranty. The inside of the heater
contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing
should be performed by qualified personnel only.
C L E A N I N G / M A I N T E N A N C E
RÉGLAGE DU MINUTEUR
Appuyez sur la touche mode coup sur coup jusqu’à ce que
l’icône du minuteur clignote à l’écran ACL. Utilisez les touches
( ) et ( ) pour régler la durée voulue – la plage s’étend
de 1 à 24 heures. Pressez longuement les touches ( ) et
( ) afin que les heures défilent vite. Le voyant du
minuteur luira, signe que le minuteur est en fonction.
Pour annuler ce réglage, appuyez sur les touches ( ) et
( ) jusqu’à ce que «00 » s’affiche. Le voyant s’éteindra.
NETTOYAGE/ENTRETIEN
Débranchez et laissez toujours refroidir le radiateur avant
d’entreprendre son nettoyage.
1. Nettoyez l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon doux, humecté
d’une solution de savon doux.
2. N’utilisez JAMAIS des produits abrasifs ou des solvants
inflammables pour nettoyer l’appareil.
3. Après le nettoyage, séchez l’appareil avec un chiffon ou
une serviette.
REMARQUE: LES ÉLÉMENTS SONT SCELLÉS EN
PERMANENCE – L’HUILE QU’ILS CONTIENNENT
N’A JAMAIS BESOIN D’ÊTRE CHANGÉE.

ARRÊT AUTOMATIQUE DE SÉCURITÉ
Si le radiateur atteint une température de surchauffe
potentielle, le système arrête automatiquement l’appareil.
Protection antibasculement
Si l’appareil est renversé accidentellement, il s’arrêtera
automatiquement. Il est également possible qu’il s’éteigne s’il
est déplacé ou heurté. Pour réinitialiser le radiateur,
remettez-le d’aplomb et le fonctionnement normal reprendra.
REMARQUE:
Si le radiateur ne se remet pas en marche
après avoir été mis d’aplomb, pressez une fois sur la touche
de mode (Mode) du tableau de commande et le
fonctionnement normal reprendra.
RANGEMENT DU RADIATEUR
1. Rangez le radiateur et son cordon dans un endroit
frais et sec.
2. Nous conseillons vivement de replacer l’appareil et
son cordon dans la boîte d’emballage originale.
DÉPANNAGE
Généralités:
Conditions du milieu - Plusieurs facteurs affectent le
niveau de confort désiré. Parmi ceux-ci, mentionnons
l’isolation, les fenêtres et portes ouvertes ou mal
assujetties ainsi que la température extérieure. Vérifiez si
ces facteurs empêchent le radiateur de chauffer
convenablement la pièce et, le cas échéant, prenez les
dispositions nécessaires pour les rectifier.
Chaleur d’appoint - Les radiateurs électriques portatifs
sont conçus pour réchauffer les pièces fraîches et vous
aider à baisser le thermostat du chauffage central. Ils ne
remplacent aucunement le chauffage central.
N’essayez PAS de réparer ou d’ajuster une
fonctionnalité électrique ou mécanique du
radiateur sous peine d’annulation de la garantie.
Le radiateur ne contient pas de pièces que puisse
réparer l’utilisateur. Confiez toujours les
réparations au personnel compétent.
