Guide to use your camera

Inserting batteries

1. Pull battery compartment door (18) with forefinger in the

direction of the triangular mark on the cover to open the

battery compartment.

2. Insert two fresh AA size alkaline batteries into the battery

chamber according to the + and – signs shown on the

battery door, and close the battery door. (Fig.1)

Note: Do not use Ni-Cd batteries and to be sure replace

both batteries at the same time when they are too weak to

operate the cameras.

Film loading

1. Slide the lens cover switch to open lens cover.

2. Open the back cover by sliding the film door latch (11)

and insert your film cartridge into the film chamber (12).

3. Pull out the film leader to reach the film tip mark (17).

Ensure the tip of the film leader is hooked on the film

take up spool (15) teeth. Press the shutter release

button (2) down once to advance the film.

4. Check that the film lies flat within the rail of the film guide

rails (13) and the perforations fit in the teeth of the

sprocket (14). (Fig.3 & 4)

5. Close the back cover until it locks with a click sound.

The frame counter (1) on the top of the camera will show

a "S".  Repeat pressing the shutter release button (2)

until the frame counter (1) shows a "1". You are now

ready to take your first picture.

6. If "1" does not appear, the film has not been advanced

correctly. Open the back cover and repeat the loading

process.

Taking pictures

1. Hold you camera with both hands when you take pictures. Remember to keep your finger

away from the Lens (3), Cds (8) and the flash (6).

2. Slide the lens cover switch (4) to open the lens cover. Frame your object in the viewfinder

(5) and keep a distance of at least 1.5meters (5 feet) between the object and the camera.

3. Before you press the shutter release button (2), hold your breath and press the button

gently and firmly.  After you press the shutter release button (2), the camera will advance

automatically to the next frame.

4. Flash will be automatically turned on in low lighting condition (ISO 100 below EV 11.5).

We recommend using ISO 400 film in the flash mode.

Note: When the sun or any bright light source is behind the object, it acts as a backlight and

causes faces to appear dark in the pictures.  Better results are to be obtained if fill-in flash

is used. To take picture with fill-in flash, hold the fill-in flash button (7) in until the flash ready

indicator (9) is fully illuminated.  Then press the shutter release button (2) to take a picture.

Note: To take picture indoor where flash is prohibited, press and hold the flash off button

(21). Then press the shutter release button (2) to take a picture and the flash will not go on.

Film unloading

1. The film will stop automatically after the last frame is exposed. Slide the film rewind

switch (19) right to the end in the direction of the triangular mark shown. The switch then

locks in the position and the film will be rewound automatically.

2. The motor will stop after the film is completely rewound. Open the back cover by sliding

the back cover latch (11). The rewind switch (19) will return to its original position when

the back cover is opened.

3. Remove the film cartridge from the film chamber (12).

4. Close the lens cover to protect lens from dust and remove the batteries if the camera will

not be used for a long period of time.

Note: Do not open the back cover if the film is not completely rewound.

Camera care

1. Protect your camera from rain, dampness and excessive temperature.

2. Clean the lens by gently wiping it with a clean and lint free cloth. Do not use chemicals

or other cleaning agents.

3. Remove dust form the film compartment by using an air blower.

4. With the batteries removed, store your camera away from heat, moisture or direct

sunlight. Never leave your camera or film in car or in damp closet.
