ThesetupoftheSwitchcanbeperformedusingthefollowingsteps:

• Visuallyinspectthepowerjackandmakesurethatitisfullysecuredtothe

poweradapter.

• DonotcovertheventilationholesonthesidesoftheSwitch,andmake

surethereisadequateventilationaroundit.

• Donotplaceheavyobjectsontheswitch.

• PlacetheSwitchinacoolanddryenvironment.

Before You Begin

Connecting the Switch

Step 1

Plug the supplied power adapter into the Switch and the other end into

apoweroutlet,powerstrip,orsurgeprotector(recommended).Verifythe

PowerindicatorislitontheSwitch.

Step 2

ConnectoneendofanEthernetcableintothedeviceyouwanttoconnect

totheSwitchandtheotherendintooneoftheEthernetportsontheSwitch.

ChecktheLinklights(LEDs)onboththeSwitchandthedevicetoverifythat

thecableisgoodandthatthereisavalidconnection.Port1canbeusedto

connecttoPoweroverEthernet(PoE)devices.
