During the boot-up procedure, we can find the PROM version, MAC address, hardware version, and firmware version
used by this Switch.
After the Switch was successfully booted up, the username prompt will appear, as shown below.

By default, there is no login user account configured on this Switch. Simply press the Enter key twice and the CLI
input cursor (DGS-3000-28XMP:admin# ) will be available, as shown below.

Now the switch can be configured.
NOTE: By default, there are no login user accounts configured on this Switch. For security
reasons, it is highly recommended to create a login user account for this Switch.
Creating a User Account
This section will discuss how to create a login user account on this Switch. This login details will be applied not only
for access to the CLI, but also for access to the Web UI and other interfaces. The same username and password will
be used for these connections.
To create a user account, enter the following commands.
DGS-3000-28XMP:admin# create account admin Administrator
Command: create account admin Administrator
Enter a case-sensitive new password:********
Enter the new password again for confirmation:********
Success.
DGS-3000-28XMP:admin#
In the above example, the create account command was used to create a new user account. An admin account was
created with the username of ‘Administrator’. Immediately after the command was issued, the new password must be
entered and verified. Press Enter after every step to continue.
