Control Throws
1.Turnonthetransmitterandreceiverofyouraircraft.
Checkthemovementoftherudderusingthetransmitter.
Whenthestickismovedright,theruddershouldalso
moveright.Reversethedirectionoftheservoatthe
transmitterifnecessary.
2.Turnonthetransmitterandreceiverofyouraircraft.
Checkthemovementoftheaileronsusingthetransmitter.
Whenthestickismovedright,therightaileronwillmove
upandtheleftaileronwillmovedown.Reversethe
directionoftheservoatthetransmitterifnecessary.
3.Checkthemovementoftheelevatorwiththeradio
system.Movingtheelevatorstickdownwillmakethe
airplaneelevatormoveup.
4.Usearulerorthrowgaugetoadjustthethrowof
theelevator,aileronsandrudder.Adjustthepositionof
thepushrodatthecontrolhorntoachievethefollowing
measurementswhenmovingthestickstotheirendpoints.
Measurementsaretakenatthewidestpointonthesurface.

styleofflying.
Range Testing the Radio
1.Besuretorangecheckyourradiobeforeeach
flyingsession.Thisisaccomplishedbyturningonyour
transmitterwiththeantennacollapsed.Turnonthe
receiverinyourairplane.Withyourairplaneonthe
groundandtheenginerunning,youshouldbeableto
walk30paces(approximately100feet)awayfromyour
airplaneandstillhavecompletecontrolofallfunctions.
Ifnot,don’tattempttofly!Haveyourradioequipment
checkedoutbythemanufacturer.
2.Double-checkthatallcontrols(aileron,elevator,rudder
andthrottle)moveinthecorrectdirection.
3.Besurethatyourtransmitterbatteriesare
fullycharged,pertheinstructionsincluded
withyourradio.
