Haier AE072FEAHA Installation Manual - page 7
Installation of indoor unit duct
1. Installation of air sending duct
This unit uses rounded duct, the diameter of the duct is 180mm.
The rounded duct needs to add a transition duct to connect with the air-sending duct
of indoor unit, then connect with respective separator. As Fig. 1 shown, all the fan speed
of any of the separator's air outlet shall be adjusted approximately the same to meet
the requirement for the room air conditioner.
2. Installation of air return duct
Use rivet to connect the air return duct on the air return inlet of the indoor unit, then
connect the other end with the air return blind. As Fig. 2 shown.

3. Thermal insulation of duct
Air-sending duct and air return duct shall be thermally insulated. First stick the gluey
nail on the duct, then attach the heat preservation cotton with a layer of tinfoil paper
and use the gluey nail cap to fix. Finally use the tinfoil adhesive tape to seal the
connected part. As Fig. 3 shown.

Group control method
One remote controller can control as many as 16 indoor units.
Please refer to the item " Electric wiring" for wire connection between indoor and outdoor units.
Wire connection between the remote controller and indoor units shall be performed in the
following sequence.
(1)It's necessary to operate the unit number set switch on indoor PC board to set the first unit
as " 1 " , the second unit as " 2" ...... (the indoor unit connecting the remote controller shall
be set as No.1unit).No.1 unit is the master and others are slaves.
(2)Connect terminals A, B and C of the remote controller with those on the indoor unit
(the numbers shall be matched).
(3)Connect terminals B and C on No.1 indoor unit with terminals B and C on No.2 indoor
B and C (the numbers shall be matched).
(4)Connect terminals B and C on No.2 indoor unit with terminals B and C on No.3 indoor unit
(the numbers shall be matched).
(5)Repeat in the same way until terminals B and C of No.16 unit have been connected (a maximum
of 16 units could be connected).
(6)To avoid fault due to wrong wiring, the short connection wire at terminal CN12 on control
board of No.2 - No.16 indoor units shall be detached.
When several units are controlled by one remote controller, trial run can be done for each unit
by pressing " Setting temp" button. Each time the " Setting temp" button is pressed, the address
of the unit will be changed and displayed and trial run will be triggered. (If there is no display
of the unit number, the trial run will be for all the units.)
Requirement
The remote controller connecting wires between indoor units shall be of an cross-sectional
area of more than 1mm
2
and a maximum length of 500m (the length form remote controller
to No.16 unit).
