Icom BC-190 Instructions - page 2
While Charging:
• AVOID transmission. Remove the trans-
ceiver from the charger when you need
to transmit.
• REMOVE the transceiver
immediately
from the charger when you receive a
call.
• REMOVE optional equipment from [SP
MIC] jack of the transceiver.
NOTE:
The BC-190 will not fully charge a battery
pack (about 90% of fully charged condi-
tion) for battery protection. And the oper-
ating time of a transceiver with the battery
pack will be shorter. If you would like to
fully charge the battery pack, use the BC-
119N instead of the BC-190.
NOTE:
After charging is completed, the BC-190
will recharge a battery pack automati-
cally when the battery voltage decreases
to 8 V. When the battery pack is often
left in the BC-190 for long periods, the
battery life cycle will be shorter.
Charging period
2.5 hours* (BP-227)
* When charging BP-227 with a powered-
on transceiver, the charging period can be
up to 4.25 hours.
Eyelet
USE a rubber band to
secure the transceiver
while charging, if
desired.
