Lightpipe Installation

Remove the backing from the adhesive on the Lightpipe 

assembly.

Position the lower end of the Lightpipe into the angled recess 

of the Reader.

Align the upper end with the molded feature in the Reader so 

that the edge of the Lightpipe fits squarely across the edge of 

the molded feature.

Press firmly into place and hold for a few seconds to allow the 

adhesive to set.

Note: It is very important that the new Lightpipe is 

positioned exactly as shown in the following illustra-

tion. This helps ensure proper reflecting of the Infrared 

signals between your mobile device and your reader.
