If properly connected, the unit should not operate with vehicle’s
ignition switched off.

Fuse is blown –
Check any fuses relevant to the unit’s operation and replace with
identical fuse.

Improper power lead connections –
Ensure power and ground are correctly connected.

Adjust accordingly .
