Unfold the page with the illustrations! This coffee maker consists of three
separate parts: Machine (Fig. 1A), Funnel (Fig. 1B) and Thermos (Fig. 1C).
Before first use
Fill the water tank with water added a tablespoon of vinegar to the
maximum level and complete a brewing cycle. Discard the water and
repeat the process with clean water.
Instructions for use
· Open the lid of the water tank by pressing down the flap (Fig. 2a).
· Fill the water tank (Fig. 2b) with water to the desired level. The
maximum level is indicated on the water gauge. Press down the lid to
close. The lid must always be closed during brewing.
· Open the funnel lid (Fig. 3). Insert a filter bag in the funnel and add the
desired quantity of coffee. Make sure that the funnel is "locked" to the
right (Fig. 6), before the lid is closed again.
· Place the Thermos on the base (Fig. 4) and press the ON/OFF button for
two seconds to start brewing. The blue LED is blinking.
· When the brewing is finished the coffee maker will automatically switch
off and the blue LED will light up indicating the standby mode.
Thermo jug instruction
· The Thermos is delivered in "CLOSED" position (Fig. 5a). This position
prevents coffee to be spilt when handling the Thermos and keeps the
coffee warm.
· If the Thermos is full and tilted more than 45°, coffee may drip out.
· To pour coffee: Turn the catch on the lid and make it point straight
backwards and the arrow pointing at "OPEN" (Fig. 5b).
· To remove the lid: Turn the catch on the lid to the right till the arrow is
pointing at "REMOVE" (Fig. 5c).
Cleaning
After use turn off the main power and unplug. Let the appliance cool
down. Open the funnel lid (Fig. 3). Take out the funnel by turning the
handle left (Fig. 6) to release from the lock. Remove the filter bag and
clean the funnel with water. Put back the funnel and turn the handle
to the right to "lock". Close the lid. Use a moist cloth for wiping off the
appliance. Do not use strong detergents or abrasives, as these might
scratch and damage the exterior of the appliance. Never clean the
appliance under running water nor immerse it in water.
Descaling
After 100 cycles of brewing, the blue LED light will start blinking, which
is the reminder for descaling. Use a mixture of vinegar and water or a
descaling remedy, which can be bought in all supermarkets etc.
(follow the instructions on the descaling remedy).
· Mix 0.1 litre vinegar with 0.4 litre cold water.
· Fill the mixture in the water tank. Press and hold the ON/OFF button
for two seconds to start the machine. To remove the last remains
of limescale or vinegar, fill the water tank with clean water to the
maximum level and switch on. Repeat the process three times.
Then the coffee maker is ready for use.
Caution: Do not remove limescale deposits with hard objects.
After descaling, press and hold the ON/OFF button for three seconds
to reset the brewing cycle. The blue LED light will stop blinking and return
to standby mode.
Regular descaling prolongs the service life of the appliance, ensures
perfect operation, reduces the brewing time and saves energy.
