Sequential multipoint electronic fuel injection
variable valve timing,
a technology utilized in Formula One race cars, is now featured in the 5.7L HEMI
®
V8. VVT
offers increased engine breathing throughout the rpm range by varying the degree that the valves open and
close in conjunction with piston position. Results are tangible: better performance, more efficient operation and
increased torque for towing and hauling.
Multi-displacement System (MdS)
Deactivates 4 cylinders (1, 4, 6, and 7) during steady speeds between
40-60 mph, low acceleration and shallow-grade climbing conditions. Fuel economy is improved up to
6 percent, depending on driving habits
