Setting Up Your Speakers
Correct speaker placement has a huge impact on sound quality . All rooms are different so it’s
impossible to specify a correct placement . We do suggest you experiment with a few different
locations to see what works best for you . For best bass response, we recommend you keep a
minimum distance of 8” to 10” (20 to 25 cm) between the speakers and the wall behind them .
Position the speakers with the tweeters at eye level for your most common listening position .
To condition and break-in the speakers, we recommend that you play between 24 and 48 hours
of music through the speakers before doing any critical listening or speaker placement .
Connect the two speakers together as shown below . Connect the RED (+) and BLACK (−)
terminals from the active speaker to the corresponding terminals on the passive speaker .
Insulation on the cables must be stripped on all ends . If you wish to place your speakers farther
apart than the supplied cable will reach, we recommend that you purchase a heavier gauge of
speaker cable to minimize signal loss .
Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position .
Follow the instructions on the ensuing pages to connect your devices to YUMI . The examples
in the following pages are not meant to be exhaustive - just examples .
Connect the AC power cord from YUMI’s active speaker to your wall outlet . Turn YUMI’s ON/
OFF switch to the ON position .
