16. AUX Input
You can connect the audio output of an external device such as an MP3 player to this unit to listen to
the sound of that device through the amplifier of this music system.
1.
To connect the external device please use a standard stereo audio cable (3.5 mm to 3.5 mm
plugs) to connect the headphone out or audio line out of the external device to the AUX input
socket of this unit.
2.
Turn on the unit and select AUX mode.
3.
Switch the external device (e.g. MP3 player) on.
4.
Start playback of the external device and adjust the volume control of the main unit to the desired
level.
5.
Remember to switch off the unit when you are finished using the external device.
17. Line Out
This radio provides a Line Out connector to which you can connect external speakers for additional
hearing pleasure. External speakers to be connected must be active type speakers.
18. Headphone Connector
A headphone jack is located at back of the unit. When the unit is powered on and playing music, you
can connect headphones (not included) to the headphone jack for your private listening. Mind the
safety information from page 22 on.
With headphones connected the unit’s speakers are disabled. To listen via the speakers again, discon-
nect the headphones.
19. Troubleshooting
Error
Remedy
The device does not switch on
or turns off suddenly.
1.
Check if the power adaptor is connected properly.
2.
The device may malfunction when used in areas with strong
radio interference. The device will work properly again once
interference ceases.
No sound or low sound.
1.
Turn on the sound as it may be muted.
2.
Increase the volume.
3.
Pull any connected headphone or speaker from the connector
sockets.
4.
AUX In mode: Check if the audio cable is connected properly
and the volume of the source is large enough.
No network connection can be
established.
1.
Check the WLAN function.
2.
Try to set an IP address at the device.
3.
Activate the DHCP function on the router and make the con-
nection again at the device.
4.
Check if the firewall is activated on the network – set the
respective program in such a way that access is possible.
5.
Reboot the router.
WiFi connection cannot be
established.
1.
Check the availability of WLAN network on the router.
2.
Place the device closer to the router.
3.
Make sure the password is correct.
WiFi gets disconnected.
1.
If the connection is lost in standby mode, make sure that the
setting “Keep network connected” (in Setup Wizard or menu
System settings > Network > Keep network connected) is set
to “Yes”.
