Control Operations And Functions
POWER SUPPLY
This unit is designed to operate on AC mains supply or 12V DC by using 8 pcs. UM2 batteries.
AC OPERATION
Insert one end of the AC power cord cord into AC SOCKET (31) of the set and the other end into
an AC wall outlet. Take care that the power output of the wall outlet meets the requirement as indi-
cated on the bottom of the unit.
Plugging the mains lead to AC SOCKET (31) will automatically disconnect the batteries.
DC OPERATION
Slide to open BATTERY COMPARTMENT (32) at back of unit and insert 8 pcs “UM2” batteries.
Please make sure that they are inserted with correct polarity and close the battery door. Your unit
is now ready for operation.
If you will not use the unit for a longer period of time take out the batteries in order to avoid damage.
Radio
USING THE RADIO
1. Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (2) to RADIO position. The POWER INDICATOR (17) will light up.
2. Select the desired band position by BAND SWITCH (15).
3. Select the desired radio station by using the TUNING KNOB (13).
FM BAND
1. If FM is selected, ensure the telescopic antenna is fully extended.
2. Turning the TUNING KNOB (13) until the desired station is located.
3. If the station is broadcasting in stereo, the FM STEREO INDICATOR (18) will illuminate.
4. To achieve optimum reception, adjust the position of the telescopic antenna.
AM BAND
For AM reception the product has built-in antenna. To achieve best reception, the product should
be rotated until the stronger signal is obtained.
GENERAL
Once the required station has been located, adjust the VOLUME CONTROL (4) to the desire level.
