Sat IF connections
The coaxial cable, which is coming from the antenna, is connected to
the Sat IF input. The Sat IF output is connected with the Sat IF input
of the UFD 540 with a supplied coaxial cable. The connections must
be established in this sequence because the supply voltage of the
LNB runs through the coaxial cable.
Connection to vehicle’s electronic system
The supplied supply voltage cable (wires: brown/white/green) is con-
nected to the vehicle’s electronic system (battery buffered). Brown is
connected with
+
, white with
–
and the green wire with the ignition
behind the ignition lock, so the current flows, once the ignition is
switched on.
The green connection is important, because it guarantees that the po-
sitioner is set to its parked position, once the ignition is switched on.
This means, that the vehicle can not move with the erected antenna.
Low voltage from the vehicle’s electronic system can lead to uncon-
trolled error messages (e.g. “Overload” even though it does not exist).
Control cable
The control cable from the positioner is connected with the control
unit.
