• Donotfitorremovebladeswhilsttheknifeisconnectedtothepoweroutlet.

• Donotusetheknifeformorethan7minutescontinuously.Lettheappliancecooldownto
roomtemperature(approx.30minutes)beforecontinuingtooperatetheappliance.
• Donotusethesamebladesonrawandcookedmeatwithoutwashingthemthoroughlyfirst.
• Donotusethebladestocutbones,foodcontainingseedsorstones,foodinwrapperssuchas
aluminiumfoilorclingfilm,orfrozenfood.
HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE ELECTRIC KNIFE AND USE IT
Always ensure the knife is unplugged from the mains before fitting the blades.
1. Interlock blades together before inserting into the base unit. To assemble blades, grasp shaft
endsbelowthesafetyguardsandsliptherivetonthetipoftheotherblade(seeDiagram
below).Bringbladestogetherensuringtipsremaintogether.
Note: Always use both blades when operating the Electric Knife.
2. Hold assembled blades by the safety guards and fit the shafts into the blade-slot until they click
intoposition(seeDiagrambelow).Gentlyandcarefullytrytopullouttheblades.Iftheblades
do not move they are fixed to main body correctly.
3. Insert the plug into a power socket and switch on, ensure the cord is well away from the blades.
Holdingtheknifewithonehand,pressthesafetyswitchtoactivatetheON/OFFswitchand
thenpresstheON/OFFswitchtooperatetheappliance.Releasingtheswitchwillautomatically
stop the appliance.
4. When slicing is completed, turn the power off at the power outlet and remove the plug
immediately. Hold the Blade Release buttons, hold the blades by the safety guards with the
cutting edge facing downward and pull the blades out of the slots.

• Alwaysplacefoodtobeslicedonawoodenorplasticcuttingboard.Donotslicefoodon
china;metalorworktops,asscratchingmayoccur.
• Guidebladesthroughfood.Asawingactionisnotnecessary.Donotforcebladesthrough
food.
• Tomaintainthesharpnessofblades,donotcutthroughfrozenfoods,bones,fruitpipsor
stones or any other hard substances.
• Forbestresultswhencarvingmeatandpoultryallowcookedmeattostandfor5minutes
before slicing. This allows the juices to set and makes carving easier and neater.
• Beforecarvingmeatorchicken,removeanyskewers.Ifdesired,stringmaybeleftaroundthe
meat whilst carving.
• Theuseofacarvingforktosteadythemeatassistsincarvingstraight,evenslices.
• Donotattempttosharpenblades
TROUBLESHOOTING
Following are some common problems that can occur when using the electric knife. Please review
the problems, their possible cause and any corrective action that should be taken to ensure
successful cutting.
