4.5 Configuring the contact points of RS-232/485 channel ports
To configure contact points of channel ports it is necessary to set jumpers on the board
with channel interfaces in appropriate positions (see Fig. 23).
For each channel ports, C1
÷C5, it is individually possible to:
• Set the DSR line into ON or OFF state, or connect it with the DTR line;
• Set the CTS line into ON or OFF state, or connect it with the RTS line;
• Set the DCD line into ON or OFF state.
Jumpers are accessible after removing the cover. To get the access to jumpers one should
undo four screws from the top of housing, then undo four side screws and remove upper
cover.
Factory settings are as follows: DTR line is connected with DSR line (DTR
↔ DSR),
RTS line is connected with CTS line (RTS
↔ CTS), and DCD line is set to OFF.
