15. Problem shooting Cooker hoods

Suspicious smell from motor

The following are possible in addition to the above causes

Change lamps

Check fuse, connect cable correctly

    Possible cause

Air flap jammed

Faulty capacitor 

Motor bearing faulty

Rectify leaks by suitable means

Appliance vibrates

Mount motor correctly

Mount hood securely

Tighten fixing bracket screws

Tighten fixing screws

Light on, but motor does not run

Light not on, motor does not run

Oil leaks

Appliance unstable

Insufficient air extraction

Readjust the distance
