RED BUTTON - Use to automatically
transmit your GPS position and alert
message to all nearby modern marine radios.
EMERGENCY USE ONLY. There may be severe
penalties for improper use.
1. Press once to turn Lifeline on, press again and hold for 5 seconds until LCD
screen reads “DISTRESS MODE ON”.
Note: The alert message will not transmit until you have GPS lock onto screen.
For maximum range hold Lifeline as high above the water line as possible.
2. Once initiated, the alert message, your MMSI number and your GPS coordinates
will be sent out at timed intervals for a minimum of 24 hours.
3. To turn off, press and hold until LCD screen reads “DISTRESS MODE OFF”.
IMPORTANT! Please refer to Owner’s Manual to perform testing of this function.

Go to NautilusLifeline.com/downloads to download the Nautilus Lifeline
Desktop Software
Our free software lets you connect your Nautilus Lifeline to your computer.
You can use it to:
1. Set your dive region.
2. Select the operating channel. (can also be done using green button on your unit)
3. Register your lifeline for warranty and activation.
4. Input your MMSI to activate your red button.
5. Download your GPS points.
6. Plus many advanced user features.
IMPORTANT! Red button emergency mode is not functional
until Step 5 is completed.
1. Use the supplied USB cable to connect your lifeline to your computer.
2. Run the Lifeline Desktop Software.
3. Fill in the registration* form.
4. Input your MMSI** number.
* The registration form is required by law in order to allow the MMSI number to be set
** Your MMSI is an identity number issued by a regulatory body in your country of
origin. Regulations for MMSI vary for each country. Please consult your local
regulatory body to determine how to obtain an MMSI in your country.

• Ensure that your orange O ring and USB cap are always perfectly clean.
• Always store Lifeline in a dry place, out of direct sunlight,
with cap open and antenna fully extended.
• Gently rinse your Lifeline in fresh water after each use.
• Do not pressure blow-dry.
• Do not remove antenna.
Removal of antenna will void warranty
and may result in damage to your Lifeline.
• Charge your Lifeline and perform self-diagnostic test before any dive trip or
weekend of diving.
