NH 210
NBase Communications
INTRODUCTION
The NBase NH 210 provides dedicated bandwidth to the desktop at wire-
speed rate. Employing highly-integrated ASIC technology, the NH 210 deliv-
ers powerful switching with a superior price/performance, allowing it to be
deployed as a replacement to shared media devices.
With both a high density of end-stations and high-speed server/backbone con-
nections, the NH 210 provides the flexibility and performance required for a
wide variety of effective network applications.
Description
The NH 210 features eight 10Base-T Ethernet ports and two 10/100Mbps
UTP ports for high-speed connectivity. The switch is offered in the following
two models:
NH 210-32
Support for 32 MAC addresses; efficient, cost-
effective
small network switch.
NH 210-2K
Support for 2K MAC addresses; configures up to four
VLAN groups for both Multicast and Broadcast frames;
cost-efficient network security.

The Switch and Network Management Systems
The NH 210 is managed through a Windows 95™-based graphical application
program called MegaView. The management interface is provided via the PC
parallel port (LPT1or LPT2) which is connected to the NH 210’s DB-25 front
panel port, using a standard parallel printer cable. The switch offers a wide
array of management capabilities, including powerful VLAN features on the
NH 210-2K model, intrusion control security and real time port statistics.
