Mobile Device Manager 2008
Microsoft® System Centre Mobile Device Manager 2008 provides organisations with enhanced
security and control over mobile devices within their organisations, and gives mobile employees access
to corporate resources such as confidential information on corporate networks with firewalls.
Using Mobile Device Manager 2008
Yourcompany’snetworkadministratorcancontrolthefollowingfeaturesinyourXda:

Password policies
The system administrator can impose setting up a password on your Xda, and set the
password length and complexity.

Communications functions lockdown
The system administrator can disable Wi-Fi, SMS, MMS, Bluetooth, email messaging, and
camera functions in your Xda.
•
Disable device applications
The system administrator can disable the applications in your Xda.
•
File encryption
The system administrator encrypts the files, and turn on/off encryption on your Xda.
•
Software distribution
The system administrator can distribute software/applications to your Xda.
