Adhesion of dusts of paper and foreign materials may reduce the lifetime of the head
and the platen. When they adhere, clean the head according to the following
procedures:
Printer head cleaning
Cleaning should be done when any one of the following conditions occurs.
•
Defectiveness of printing quality
•
Defectiveness of some column in the printing area
•
Paper feeding and retreating with high noise
Printer head cleaning steps are as follows:
1)
Cut off the power supply of the thermal printer module
;
2)
Cleaning should be done after the printer head has been completely cooled.
3)
Wipe off the heating element part of the head surface lightly with cotton swabs which
athyl-alcohol is applied.
Rubber platen cleaning
Cleaning should be done when any one the following conditions occurs.
•
Defectiveness of printing quality
•
Defectiveness of some column in the printing area
•
Paper feeding and retreating with high noise
Rubber platen cleaning steps are listed as follows:
1)
Cut off the power supply of the thermal printer module, and press the lever then the
rubber platen will be opened
