How to Use Your
Appliance
Your new appliance is great for preparing a
variety of food and drinks including the following:
• A variety of mixed drinks.
• Chopping fruits and vegetables.
• Producing emulsions e.g. mayonnaise,
sauces, baby foods, creams.
• Making puree vegetables for soups, baby
foods etc.
• Preparing cocktails and shakes.
1. When preparing food always use a large and
high sided container.
PLEASE NOTE: The 1L Mixing Cup is only
heat resistant up to 80-90°C. Always allow
boiling foods or liquids to cool down before
starting to blend.
2. Ensure that the appliance is unplugged.
3. Insert the motor housing into the Blender
gear box (on the blending shaft) until it locks.
Always ensure that shaft has locked firmly in
place and does not move (see picture).
4. Adjust the variable speed switch to the desired
speed. (see picture below).
Your Appliance
Congratulations on the purchase of your new
Rachel Allen Hand Blender. Before using your
new appliance for the first time, it is extremely
important that you read and follow the instructions
in this booklet, even if you feel that you are
familiar with this type of appliance. Find a place
to keep this booklet handy for future reference.
Attention is particularly drawn to the section
dealing with “IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS”.
This appliance has been designed to operate
from a standard domestic power outlet. It is not
intended for industrial or commercial use.
Before Using the
Appliance for the First
Time
Carefully unpack the unit and remove all
packaging material. Wipe the handle with a damp
cloth. Wash the shaft, mixing blade and all the
accessories in warm soapy water.
• Take care not to submerge the body of the
blender above the shaft in the water. Ensure
the Blender is thoroughly dry.
• Pay careful attention to the sharp blades.
