Basic operation
Entering Navigator mode (from Auto mode)
Press in control stalk end.
SportPilot indicates direction of turn required
for next waypoint:

Returning to Standby (Disengaging the autopilot)
Making course changes
Turning to next waypoint
Entering Auto mode (Engaging the autopilot)
Return to standby or auto to exit.
Turn control stalk to one of the gain settings.

Check that it is safe to turn, then press in
control stalk end to turn to next waypoint.

Steer onto the required heading.
Adjusting autopilot gain (General guidelines)
x2 = port turn
x1 = starboard turn
LO gain
HI gain
Mid-range gain
• applies the LEAST amount of helm
• in general, use at HIGH boat speeds
• applies the MOST amount of helm
• in general, use at LOW boat speeds
• mid-range settings apply increasing
amounts of helm
Do NOT use HI gain at high boat speeds – it will cause dangerous boat instability.
Small course changes:
use control stalk buttons
Large course changes:
use steering wheel
