INSTALLATION: Connections
(1)
Aerial Socket S2: Connects to a BNC plug terminated via 50O coax to a
quarter wave dipole or multi-element yagi.
(2)
Power Plug P1: Connects to + and -13.5v. The positive connection is nearest
to the D15 Communications Socket.

Pin 4. No connection
Pin 5. PTT. Grounding pin 5 initiates a transmission and disables the receiver.
Pin 6. No connection
Pin 7. Busy, driven from Squelch circuit, 0-10v. Set to go 'low' on squelch
opening, but can be reversed by cutting topside track link at `Busy' and
bridging to '+'.
Pin 8. Positive Supply Output.
Pin 9,10. No connection
Pins 11,12. 600O balanced Input/Output when T1 fitted (on request). Link Tx
Audio 1 and Rx Audio together. Transmitter deviation is adjusted to ±4.0kHz
max. via R123v. (See section titled "Pin 3. Tx Audio 1" above.)
Pin 13. Tx Audio 2. Modulator input 5mV - 5V input level. Using R123v, ensure
tx deviation does not exceed ±4.0kHz at any input level & any modulating
frequency 300Hz-3kHz.
Pin 14. No connection
Pin 15. No connection.
MOUNTING
Mount the case using the two holes provided in the base and clip the TR160 PCB
into position on the lid.
