4. If needed, you can use the extra bread lift to remove the bread from the toaster simply lift the carriage
handle upwards, this will elevate the toast an extra 2cm for easy removal
5. The cancel /stop button can be used at any time during the cycle to cancel toasting.
6. Using the defrost feature, if you
need to defrost frozen bread, place
the frozen
bread into the toaster,
press down
the carriage handle and press the defrost button. The light will go on. The bread will pop up
once it is toasted.
7. If you need to reheat already toasted
bread, place the bread into the slots, press
down the carriage handle
and then press the reheat button.
The light next to the reheat
button will go on .The bread will pop up
automatically
8. For bagel toasting (or if you prefer to toast your breador bun on one side only), placethe cut bagel with
the outer side facingoutwards into the slots, press down the carriagehandle and then press the bagel button

one side only.
CRUMB TRAY
Your toaster comes with a removable, slideout crumb tray. This is a quick andconvenient way to remove
crumbs.Always ensure that the toaster is unpluggedand has cooled down before removingthe crumb tray.
Clean the crumb tray witha damp cloth and always dry the trayproperly before replacing it into the toaster
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always ensure that the toaster is unplugged and allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the toaster into water or any other liquids.
3. Slide out the crumb tray and clean as described above.
4. To clean the exterior of the toaster, wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Never use any
abrasives or harsh cleaning products to clean the toaster.
5. Do not stick any sharp objects into the toaster.
SERVICE
Hints before retuning for service:
1. Has the plug been wired correctly and are the wires tight under their screws?
2. Is your household socket working properly?
If service becomes necessary within the warranty period the appliance should be returned to an approved
Amalgamated Appliances (Pty) Ltd service centre Servicing outside the warranty period is still available
but this will be chargeable.
