Changing MCS-to-Workstation Connections

To change to a direct connection, follow these steps:

1.  Select 

Serial

 from the MCS Connection Settings 

dialog box (see page 3–5).

2.  Select 

Connection Type: Direct Connect 

for a direct 

connection

.

3. 

Select

 Bit Rate: 9600 bits/s 

for the transfer rate

Using a Dialed Connection

Cable an MCS workstation to an MCS through a dialed 

connection, as shown in Figure A–2.

To change to a dialed connection, follow these steps:

1.  Select 

Serial

 from the MCS Connection Settings 

dialog box (see page 3–5).

2.  Select

 Connection Type: Dial in to MCS 

for a switched 

(dialed) connection.

3.  Type the 

MCS Phone Number.

4. 

Select

 Bit Rate: 9600 bits/s
