Meet your
SmartSense™ Motion
The SmartSense™ Motion sensor lets you
know when movement is detected in a
certain area and can trigger different
actions in response to that movement (or
lack of movement).
Installation Tips
SmartSense Motion works best if it’s within 15
feet (4.5 meters) of the SmartThings Hub when
you connect it.

How to reset and reconnect a
SmartSense Motion
Hold the Connect button for six seconds or
until the LED light turns off. Tap ‘+’ in the
SmartThings mobile app, and then press the
Connect button (shown below) once.
• Read, keep and follow
these instructions.
• Heed all warnings.
• Do not use this product near
water or expose the product
to dripping or splashing of
any water or liquid.
• Clean only with a dry cloth.
• Do not install near any heat
sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves or
other apparatus (including
amplifiers) that
produce heat.
• Only use attachments and
accessories specified by the
manufacturer.
• Optional power supply using
SmartThings USB-Micro
power adapter (INPUT:
100-240V ~100mA 50-60Hz,
OUTPUT: 5V 550mA)
only. Any external power
source must be a Limited
Power Source (LPS) in
compliance with IEC
60950-1 (or national
equivalent).
