Taser strikelight User Manual - Function Test
A TASER StrikeLight stun flashlight is not a substitute for other preventive self-protection
actions such as ensuring doors are locked, and parking in well-lighted areas.
To drive-stun an attacker, perform these actions:
1
Move the flashlight button to the forward (ON) position.
2
Press the stun button.
3
Drive the electrodes into the attacker.
•
When using the drive-stun, push (drive) the front of the flashlight firmly against
the body of the attacker. Simply touching the flashlight against the attacker is
not sufficient. The attacker is likely to recoil and try to get away from the device.
It is necessary to aggressively drive the front of the flashlight into the attacker for
maximum effect.
•
Due to automatic reflex actions, most people will struggle to separate from the
flashlight. It may be difficult to maintain contact between the flashlight and the
attacker.
•
If the drive-stun is not effective, evaluate the location of the drive-stun, consider an
additional cycle to a different pressure point, consider alternative force options, or
consider fleeing from the attacker.
Function Test
TASER International recommends conducting a function test every 90 days. The function test
is done to verify that the device is working properly.
