Safety
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
This manual contains instructions and warnings that should be followed during the installation and
operation of all Tripp Lite Power Conditioning Centers. Failure to heed these warnings will void
your warranty.
• The Power Conditioning Center features an internal protection that will disconnect the surge-pro-
tective component at the end of its useful life but will maintain power to the load—now unpro-
tected.
• Do not connect the Power Conditioning Center to an ungrounded outlet. Do not use with 2-wire
extension cords or adapters. Do not plug extension cords into the Power Conditioning Center.
• The Power Conditioning Center is designed for indoor use only. Install the Power Conditioning
Center away from heat-emitting appliances such as radiators or heat registers. Do not install
where excessive moisture is present.
• Never install electrical wiring during a lightning storm.
• Do not drill into any part of the housing or open the housing for any reason. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside.

Line Cord with Right-Angle Plug:
connects Power Conditioning Center to a standard 3-wire
grounded 120V AC, 60 Hz. wall outlet. Right-angle plug allows equipment and furniture to be
moved flush against the wall.
Circuit Breaker:
protects against dangerous system overload. If the total load on the Power
Conditioning Center’s outlets exceeds 12 amps, the circuit breaker will trip and power will be
turned off at the outlets. Reduce the load by unplugging some devices. Depress the circuit
breaker to restore power.
Remote AC/DC Control Jack:
allows remote on/off control when connected to an external
component's “AC/DC Out” jack with user-supplied cable. The Power Conditioning Center's
Power Switch must be set to “OFF” for the remote control function to work. The connected
external component's remote control output voltage should be between 3V and 30V AC or DC.
Illuminated Power Switch:
turns power on and off at the outlets.
Mounting Flange:
allows for secure mounting (with user-supplied screws) on any suitable sur-
face, including on a wall behind a flat panel TV screen. The user must determine the fitness of
the mounting surface and the user-supplied screws prior to installation.
Outlet Panel
“HDTV” Outlet:
protects any flat panel TV (plasma, LCD or HDTV) against surge damage and
line noise distortion on the AC line. Turn power on and off at this outlet with the Power Switch.
“ACCESSORY” Outlet:
protects any accessory (receiver, player, etc.) against surge damage
and line noise distortion on the AC line. Turn power on and off at this outlet with the Power
Switch.
“LINE OK” LED:
indicates that nominal AC power is present with no wiring faults detected.
When this LED is illuminated, AC power is safe for connected equipment.

“GROUND OK” LED:
indicates the presence of a properly-grounded wall outlet. Note: A
properly-grounded wall outlet is required for the Power Conditioning Center to adequately pro-
tect connected equipment against surge damage. If this LED is not illuminated, make sure the
Power Conditioning Center is plugged in, the Power Switch is turned on and power is present.
If the LED is still not illuminated, contact a qualified electrician to check for proper grounding.
“SURGE OK” LED:
indicates the surge-suppression components are intact and providing full
protection. If this LED is not illuminated, make sure the Power Conditioning Center is plugged
in, the Power Switch is turned on and power is present. If the LED is still not illuminated, then
some of the surge suppression components may not be functioning properly. Contact Tripp Lite
Customer Support for assistance. You may still use the Power Conditioning Center; however, con-
nected equipment will be protected from surges at a lesser level than normal.
Mounting Flange:

Installation
STEP 1) Place or Mount Your Power Conditioning Center:
Place the Power Conditioning Center
on a shelf or use mounting flanges to securely mount the Power Conditioning Center (with user-sup-
plied screws) on any suitable surface, including on a wall behind a flat panel TV screen. The user
must determine the fitness of the mounting surface and the user-supplied screws prior to installation.
Note: If possible, mount the Power Conditioning Center so that its LEDs are visible.
STEP 2) Connect Your Power Conditioning Center to the AC Power Line:
Plug the Power
Conditioning Center's power cord into a standard, 3-wire grounded 120V AC, 60 Hz. outlet.
STEP 3) Turn Your Power Conditioning Center ON:
Press the Power Conditioning Center's power
switch until it illuminates, indicating power is supplied at the Power Conditioning Center's outlets.
STEP 4) Check Your Power Conditioning Center's Diagnostic Indicator Lights:
Check the
LEDs prior to connecting your equipment. They will indicate various operating conditions when
the Power Conditioning Center is plugged into a live 120V AC outlet and the Power Conditioning
Center's power switch is on.
STEP 5) Connect Your Equipment to the Power Conditioning Center's AC Outlets:
Plug your
flat panel TV and accessory (if used) into the appropriately marked Power Conditioning Center out-
lets. DO NOT plug in extension cords. DO NOT OVERLOAD the Power Conditioning Center's
outlets. The Power Conditioning Center can accommodate a total equipment load of up to 12 amps.
If the load on the Power Conditioning Center exceeds 12 amps, the circuit breaker will trip and the
outlets will stop providing power. If the circuit breaker trips, reduce the load by unplugging some
devices. Depress the circuit breaker to restore power.
OPTIONAL INSTALLATION
Connect a Component to the Power Conditioning Center for Remote AC/DC Control:
The
Power Conditioning Center allows remote on/off control when connected to an external compo-
nent's “AC/DC Out” jack with user-supplied cable. The Power Conditioning Center's Power Switch
must be set to “OFF” for the remote control function to work. The connected external component's
remote control output voltage should be between 3V and 30V AC or DC.
• Plug one end of a user-supplied 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) miniplug cable into the Remote AC/DC
Control Jack on the Power Conditioning Center.
• Plug the other end of a user-supplied 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) miniplug cable into the remote “DC
OUT” jack of the component that will be used for remote control.

en forme d'onde. Les garanties de tous les UPS de TRIPP LITE sont nulles si un suppresseur de surtensions ou
power conditioning center a été relié à ses réceptacles de sortie.

Police d'Assurance de Durée de Vie Finale
(Valide aux Etats-Unis et au Canada Seulement)
Tripp Lite garantit, pour la durée de vie du produit, (au choix de Tripp Lite) de réparer ou remplacer (sur une base
pro rata) l'équipement connecté directement qui est endommagé en raison de transitoires d'alimentation lors de
connexion correcte aux produits Tripp Lite offrant la Police d'Assurance de Durée de Vie Finale. Les transitoires
d'alimentation incluent les pointes et les surtensions sur les lignes d'alimentation CA, données ou téléphone pour
lesquelles les produits Tripp Lite ont été conçus pour protection (comme reconnu par les normes industrielles).
Transitoires de Ligne d'Alimentation : Pour réclamer des dommages et intérêts, le produit Tripp Lite doit être
branché à une sortie correctement câblée et mise à la terre. Aucun cordon de rallonge ou autres connexions élec-
triques ne doivent être utilisés. L'installation doit être conforme à tous les codes électriques et de sécurité applic-
ables établis par le National Electrical Code (NEC). Sauf si stipulé ci-dessus, cette garantie ne couvre pas tout
endommagement d'un équipement électronique connecté correctement résultant d'une cause autre qu'un "transi-
toire d'alimentation CA". Si l'utilisateur se conforme à toutes les stipulations ci-dessus, Tripp Lite réparera ou rem-
placera (au choix de Tripp Lite) l'équipement à la valeur spécifiée (Voir Limites de Police d'Assurance de Durée de
Vie Finale). Aucune couverture n'est accordée pour tout endommagement provenant de lignes de téléphone ou de
données, sauf si elles sont protégées séparément, comme décrit ci-dessous.
Transitoires de Lignes de Téléphone et de Données : Tripp Lite réparera ou remplacera l'équipement connecté
directement qui est endommagé par des transitoires sur les lignes de téléphone et/ou de données seulement
quand toutes ces voies sont protégées par un(des) produit(s) de protection Tripp Lite et quand la ligne d'alimenta-
tion CA (service) est simultanément protégée par un appareil de protection d'alimentation Tripp Lite (Système d'al-
imentation continue sans coupure, suppresseur de surtension ou dispositif de conditionnement de ligne) avec la
couverture d'Assurance de Durée de Vie Finale. Les dispositifs connectés de lignes de téléphone et/ou de don-
nées supplémentaires en aval doivent avoir leurs propres appareils de protection de lignes de téléphone et/ou de
données.
Les limites dollar de remboursement seront égales à celles de l'appareil de protection d'alimentation Tripp Lite. La
couverture est exclue si un environnement approprié pour l'appareil de protection n'est pas assuré, incluant, mais
sans s'y limiter, l'absence d'une mise à la terre de sécurité adéquate. L'équipement de service téléphonique doit
aussi inclure un dispositif de "protection primaire" installé et fonctionnant correctement à l'entrée du service télé-
phonique (ces dispositifs sont normalement ajoutés durant l'installation de la ligne téléphonique).
Toutes les garanties ci-dessus sont nulles et non avenues si le produit Tripp Lite a été incorrectement installé,
changé ou modifié d'une manière quelconque, ou si l'équipement connecté n'a pas été utilize dans des conditions
de fonctionnement normales ou conformément à toutes étiquettes ou instructions. Toutes les réclamations de dom-
mages et intérêts dans le cadre de cette garantie doivent être présentées par écrit à Tripp Lite dans les 30 jours
suivant le fait, sinon la demande ne sera pas prise en considération. Cette garantie n'inclut pas les dommages
résultant d'accident ou d'utilisation erronée, et s'applique seulement à l'utilisation intérieure (Etats-Unis & Canada)
de ces produits.
Tripp Lite se réserve le droit de déterminer si l'endommagement à l'équipement connecté est dû à un mauvais fonc-
tionnement du produit Tripp Lite en demandant que l'équipement en question soit envoyé à Tripp Lite pour exam-
en. Cette police s'ajoute, seulement dans la mesure nécessaire, à celle de toutes autres sources de couverture
d'équipement connecté, incluant, mais sans s'y limiter, toute garantie de fabricant et/ou toutes garanties étendues.

le(s) limitation(s) ou exclusion(s) peuvent ne pas s'appliquer à l'acheteur.

TRIPP LITE n'est pas responsable de tous coûts, tels que perte de profits ou revenus, perte d'équipement, perte
d'utilisation d'équipement, perte de logiciel, perte de données, coûts de substituts, réclamations de tierces parties,
ou autre. La couverture ne s'applique pas non plus aux équipements médicaux et industriels connectés.
Pour bénéficier de services dans le cadre de cette garantie, vous devez être l'acheteur/l'utilisateur d'origine du pro-
duit en question. Vous devez obtenir un numéro d'Autorisation de Retour de Matériel (RMA) de Tripp Lite. Les pro-
duits doivent être retournés à Tripp Lite avec les frais de transport prépayés et doivent être accompagnés par une
brève description du problème rencontré et la preuve de la date et du lieu d'achat.
