Vent-Axia 13101100B Installation Manual And Instructions For Use - page 2
The Vent-Axia Meteor - Cooler is a slimline three speed floor or wall/ceiling mounted cooling fan, with a rotating
front grille which may be adjusted to give 360° or fixed direction airflow, and a built-in 2 hour timer.
Connection to a Power Supply
Ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating label at the base of the fan body is compatible with
your power supply voltage.
THE METEOR COOLER MUST NOT BE USED IN A BATHROOM, OR SITED IN AN AREA WITH GREASE
OR OIL LADEN AIR.
Do NOT cover the Meteor Cooler when in use.
Do NOT handle the Meteor Cooler with wet hands.
Do NOT use the Meteor Cooler in workshops or rooms where excessive dust is generated or present.
FITTING
Floor Mounted
The Meteor Cooler can be floor mounted in an upright position or, if floor mounted an additional two tilt positions
are available, To achieve each position, push the body of the fan backwards until a “click” is heard.
Wall/Ceiling mounting
The Meteor Cooler may also be wall/Ceiling mounted using N° 12 woodscrews or an equivalent. Ensure that
there is a minimum distance of 150mm (6”) between the top of the Meteor Cooler and the ceiling.
When the Meteor Cooler is wall/ceiling mounted there are five possible tilt positions available, see Fig.4. The
Meteor Cooler should be mounted with the control switch at the top of the unit to prevent unauthorised
tampering.

Timer Operation Mode
You can control the operation time of the fan using the central control (Fig.2.), Turn the control clockwise to
select the desired time, up to a maximum of 2 hours (120 minutes).
Once the time selected has passed, the fan will automatically stop.
Fixed Position Louvre Grille
For a fixed direction of airflow, turn the centre grille control switch anti-clockwise until it clicks into
position.(Fig.3.)
Rotating Louvre Grille
For rotating louver grille, turn the centre grille control switch clockwise until it clicks into position. (Fig.3.)
Slant Adjustment
The Meteor Cooler has 5 possible base slant grades to project the air in different directions, Both when the fan
is on a horizontal surface and when it is fitted to a wall or ceiling (Fig.4.) In order to modify the slant, simply
support the base and push the fan backwards, until you hear a click. You will usually find some resistance.
Note:- The maximum slant can only be selected for wall or ceiling mounted fans.
Maintenance
The Meteor Cooler does not require special maintenance. When cleaning, make sure that the fan is
disconnected from the power supply.
We recommend cleaning the impeller/grille once a year, this should only be carried out by a suitably qualified
person. Never submerge the fan in water or place under a running tap.
Do not use corrosive products or petrol, simply clean with a damp cloth and some detergent.
