Optional AC to DC Converter
The optional AC to DC Converter provides 12 volts DC to power the Fridge
wherever AC is available. The optional converter is able to be powered from 110
to 240V AC, 50 to 60 Hz. The optional converter cord is equipped with a North
American Standard three pin plug.
Assembly Instructions
IN A CAR, RV OR VESSEL OR PORTABLE DC POWER SUPPLY
Make sure the Cooler/Warmer is positioned so that it will not slide and it has
unobstructed flow of air around the ventilation openings.
1. Ensure that the switch is set to OFF before connecting the power supply.
2. Insert the power cord connector into the DC 12V jack in the cooler.
3. Secure the cooler in place and insert the other end of the DC power cord
into the cigarette lighter socket (accessory socket).
4. Switch functions:
• OFF: Both lights will be off and the unit will not cool or warm.
• COOL: Cooling begins and the green LED will light.
• WARM: Warming begins and the red LED will light.
Operating Instructions
1. Open the door of the cable compartment on the cooler and take out the
power cord.
2. Make sure the Cool/Warm selector switch is in the OFF position.
3. Start the car engine.
4. Plug the power cord into the 12V cigarette lighter outlet firmly.
5. Select whether the heating function or the cooling function is going to
be used.
6. The LED indicator light - Red light for warming and Green light for cooling.
7. Place items inside the storage container and close the fridge cover.
Important Operating Conditions to Note
• While in use, always ensure the rear of the fridge is at least two inches
away from walls or other objects to allow for ventilation.
• Only power the fridge with 12V DC or from the optional converter.
• Remove any debris or oxidation from the lighter socket before connecting
the fridge. Clean the outlet with a non-conductive dry cloth.
• Avoid use in locations where dust or other airborne contamination may be
drawn into the fan.
• The cooler must not be exposed to rain or excessive moisture.
Using the Cooler Where AC is Available
Follow all operating instructions as described earlier. Connect the Fridge DC
power cord plug to the DC outlet of the optional converter. Plug the AC cord of the
optional converter into the AC outlet. Follow all safety precautions related to cord
placement. To disconnect the optional converter from AC, first turn the Fridge OFF
before removing the AC plug from the outlet.
Maintenance Instructions
Cleaning should be done after food spills, or before storing the cooler.
WARNING:
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. These may damage the
finish.
• Do not use chemicals or solvents for cleaning (bleach, alcohol, etc.).
• Do not immerse the unit in water.
• Always clean the cooler interior before storing.
• Store the optional AC converter and DC power cords inside the Fridge to
prevent their misplacement.
1. Before cleaning the cooler, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply.
2. Wipe the inside with a clean, damp cloth. Use a mild soap with water if
necessary.
