PLEASE READ CAREFULLY –
Always maintain safety when working with any electric alappliance
Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliances
Do not touch hot surfaces – Use handles or knobs
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cords, plugs or appliances
in water or any other liquid.
Do not leave any appliance unattended while it is operation.
This appliance is not intended for use by children or the infirm without adequate su-
pervision and /or training by a person responsible. for thier safety
Unplug from outlet when not in use or before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off any parts.
Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has
been damaged in any manner. If the supply cord or appliance if damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or it’s service agent or a similarly qualified
person
The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
cause injuries,
Do not use outdoors.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into contact
with any hot surfaces.
To disconnect-remove the plug from the outlet .Do not pull plug out by the cord.
No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by noncompliance with these in-
structions or any other improper use or mishandling.
Never use the appliance near a bath, shower or a swimming pool.
Never place flammable objects or clothing on top of the heater.
Allow a 50cm safe area around the heater on the top and sides and a 120cm safe area at
the front.
Never use a heater in a room with explosive gas such as petrol, or while using and kinds
of flammable glues, sprays or solvents.
Prevent overheating of the appliance by keeping the air inlets and outlets clean and free
of anything that may cause blockage. Check all inlets and outlets from time to time for
accumulated dust.
DO NOT COVER.
If overheating should occur, the built-in overheating safety device will shut
the appliance off.
Do not insert any foreign objects into the grill.
Keep the rear grill clear of any draped fabric or curtains.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
Electrical Safety
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH (E)
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter “E” by the earth symbol
or coloured GREEN, GREEN/
YELLOW.
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter “N” or coloured BLACK.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter “L” or coloured RED
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is fixed into the plug through the Cord Guard or Cable
Clamp, (plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp
the Cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that plug
top is also fitted securely.
This appliance must be protected by a 13 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug. Should you
need to replace the fuse, use only a 13Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (13A).
