Dear Customer,
Webasto wishes you many miles of open-air driving pleasure with your newly
fitted sunroof. To obtain maximum enjoyment and trouble-free motoring with this
spoiler sunroof, please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the
following instructions.
ELECTRICALLY OPERATED SUNROOFS:
With the ignition ON, press and hold the button to open ( ) / close ( ) the
sunroof. Release the button any time to hold the roof at its current position.
Never allow any body parts, animals or other objects to protrude through
the roof opening when the sunroof is closing.
ONE-TOUCH OPERATION SUNROOFS:
Continuous control: Press and hold the button to open ( ) / close ( ) the
panel. Releasing the button stops the movement of the panel. In its tilting range,
coming up from the closed position, you can position the panel in 4 steps while
exercising continuous control. The panel closes downwards in one movement
(without intermediate steps). Allow nothing whatsoever to protrude through
the opening, while operating the sunroof!
One-touch control: Briefly touch the button (maximum 0.1 seconds) to
immediately open ( ) / close ( ) the panel all the way. All motion of the panel
can be stopped at any time, by again touching the button.
Briefly touch the close button ©, and the roof will immediately close from any
position.
Jamming protection: Should the roof encounter an obstacle while closing by
one-touch or auto-close, it will immediately pull back and remain open.
Preset positions: Pressing button
1
or
2
allows you to open the roof to your
favorite panel positions quickly. You can program the preset positions as
follows:
Place the panel in the desired position, then press and hold button
1
for about
3 seconds until you hear a beep signal. Repeat this procedure to preset button
2
.
Auto-close: When you switch off the ignition, you will hear a beep signaling that
the sunroof auto-close is activated. After 3 seconds the sunroof closes
automatically then beeps twice. Halt the sunroof while closing, by pressing
button or briefly.
Prevent the auto-close-function by pressing or during the three seconds
interval after the ignition is switched off. After this you still can close the sunroof.
After switching the ignition back on, the sunroof will again operate in the normal
way.
SLIDING SUNSHADE / ROLLER SHADE
Either sliding sunshade or roller shade can be manually positioned where you
wish, regardless of the position of the glass panel. However, the roller shade
should not be fully closed when driving with an open roof. Air pressure above the
automobile could cause dislocation of the roller shade. Just leave a ventilation
gap of about 2 inches to relieve the pressure difference. This does not affect the
sliding sunshade. Its louvers ensure sufficient ventilation when the sunshade is
closed and the panel is open.
MAINTENANCE
To clean the glass, use only a mild non-scratching detergent and a brush or
sponge. If there is moisture on the glass panel when you start driving, we
recommend first driving with the roof closed, until it has evaporated. Within a few
minutes the fabric will be dry, and you can open the roof.
IN CASE OF FAILURE
The roof should open smoothly. Should the roof fail to open or close smoothly,
we recommend first cleaning the seal with a mild detergent, then again checking
that opening/closing is smooth. Also inspect the fuse in the sunroof circuit.
If the roof still does not open smoothly, please contact your garage for
maintenance/repair.
