INTRODUCTION
Thank you for acquiring the DT Research DS1200,
a 12-inch integrated computing display in one slim,
mountable package. This all-in-one signage system
is ideal for digital signage and kiosk applications.
Operating with the Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded system, the DS1200 offers remote
management of the content and device with WebDT Content Manager and WebDT Device Manager
software. This fully integrated solution of hardware and software, with touch and point-of-service
options, facilitates efficient deployments and brings dynamic interaction to the audience.
Please take a few moments to review the contents of this document to ensure that the setup and
startup proceed smoothly. The DS1200 is ready for use, out of the box, in its default configuration
when powered by the power source provided. The following discussion offers guidance on
the hardware elements and features of the DS1200. Please refer to your device provider for
information pertaining to the software operating system or software applications.

Precautions
Always exercise care when operating and handling the DS1200.

• ever disassemble any portion of the enclosure, as this will void any product warranty on the
DS1200.

• o not use any AC/DC adapter other than the one provided with the device or a replacement
acquired from the manufacturer.

• n the unlikely event that smoke, abnormal noise or strange odor is present, immediately power
down the DS1200 and disconnect all power sources. Please report the problem to your device
provider immediately.
