Operating the Hob

When a cooking zone is switched on, it may hum briefly. This is a
characteristic of all glass ceramic cooking zones and does not impair
either the function or the life of the appliance.

The cooking zones are operated and multiple ring zones activated
using the ring switches on the cooker or switch box as described
in the relevant set of instructions.
Activating the Warming Zone
1. Touch the "Activate" sensor field for approx. 2 seconds. A power
indicator lights up below the sensor field.
2. Within 10 seconds, touch the “Switch on” sensor field. The power in-
dicator below the “Activate” sensor field goes out and the corre-
sponding power indicator below the “Switch on” sensor field is
illuminated. The warming zone is now switched on.
3. To switch it off, touch the "Switch off" sensor field. The power indica-
tor below the "Switch on" sensor field goes out.

The warming zone can be used independently of the other cooking
zones.
The warming zone is used to keep food warm.
Residual heat indicator
The ceramic cooking zone is equipped with a residual heat indicator, a
control lamp is allocated to each cooking zone. This lights up as soon
the corresponding cooking zone is hot and warns against inadvertant
contact.
The remaining heat lamp only goes out when the cooking zone has
cooled down even when the cooking zone is switched Off.

You can use the residual heat for melting and keeping food warm.

Important! As long as the residual heat indicator is illuminated, there
is a risk of burns.
