The gate will not open using the handheld
transmitter.
1. Press transmitter button and verify LED idicator light
illuminates. If not, replace battery.
2. Remove the cover from the transmitter.
3. Remove the control box cover. Repeat steps 3–8 from
the section
Transmitter Set Up on page 26.
4. If steps 1– 3 do not correct the problem, please con-
tact customer service for further
assistance.
The gate will not open or close.
1. If applicable, ensure the 18 VAC transformer is still
plugged into the 110 VAC source.
2. Open the control box cover, and:
a) Observe if the green STATUS light is blinking once
per second. If blinking faster than once per sec-
ond, the battery is not charged. The battery can be
charged in one of two ways:
1) Disconnect the battery from the control board,
and hook up to a 2-amp battery charger; 2) Ensure
battery and mains power are properly connect-
ed–do not operate the gate for four hours to allow
the battery to charge.
b) Check the power switch.
c) Verify the wires connected to VAC, SOLAR (if appli-
cable), OPENER 1, OPENER 2 (if applicable), CYCLE,
SAFETY, EXIT, SHADOW, and RECEIVER terminals
are not loose.
3. Verify the 15 amp fuse is not blown.
4. If steps 1 – 3 do not reveal an existing problem,
please contact customer service.
When my gates close, they do not align with
each other.
1. Clear your closed limit settings. Return the gates to
the fully open position. Press and hold the SET LIMIT
button for five seconds until the green STATUS turns
off. The closed limit setting is now erased.
2. Repeat steps 1 – 8 from the section of the manual
titled Setting the Gate’s Closed Limit Position on
page 27.
3. Verify gates close and are aligned properly.
4. If steps 1 – 3 do not resolve the problem, please con-
tact customer service.
An alarm sounds and the gate does not move in
the direction that it should.
1. The gate opener is in a condition that requires it to
self-correct and return to a “zero” position. Refer to
page 29 of the manual for a description of this
situation.
2. Cycle the gate again to confirm normal operation.
3. If the gate does not operate normally, review the
other solutions in the
Troubleshooting Guide for pos-
sible solutions.
