MOUNTING BRACKETS
Two mounting brackets are available:
• The universal bracket, which can be used
for wall and hard ceiling mounting. The
below figure shows the universal bracket
installed on an access point.
• The in-ceiling bracket which affixes the
access point into a suspended ceiling. The
below figure shows the embeddable
bracket installed on an access point.
MOUNTING BELOW A SUSPENDED
CEILING
1. Identify the location where you intend to
mount the access point.
2. Raise the selected ceiling tile on both
sides of the channel to remove the tile.
3. When the bracket will be mounted in a
suspended ceiling tile, a hole that is
approximately 187mm
in diameter must
be cut in the ceiling tile and four holes of
about 4.2mm in diameter for mounting
holes must be drilled. You may use the
A4 paper that came with the package as
a guide to trace the hole size and mark
mounting holes onto the ceiling tile.
Note:
It is important that the hole be no smaller
than 186mm and no larger than 194mm in
diameter. This will ease installation and
prevent the screws from securing once
installed.
4. Insert the bracket into the cut ceiling tile
opening and secure the four sides of the
bracket to the ceiling tile with the screws
provided with the bracket.
5. Pull the Ethernet and power cables through
the cable access hole on the side of the
bracket.
4. Insert the bracket into the cut ceiling tile
opening and secure the four sides of the
bracket to the ceiling tile with the screws
provided with the bracket.
