Accessory Power BG-550D Instruction Manual - Ae-L/af-L Buttons
Vertical-Grip Operation Switch
The (11) Vertical-Grip Operation Switch enables and disables the (12) Shutter-
Release Button and (14) Main Control Dial on the BG-550D to prevent unintended
use while shooting horizontally. Before using these vertical controls, release the
(11) Vertical-Grip Operation Switch. The (11) Vertical-Grip Operations Switch is not a
power switch, but only means of toggling between horizontal and vertical shoot-
ing. The BG-550D’s functionality and power is in sync with the power switch on
your Canon dSLR Camera. Please use your camera to toggle Power ON and OFF.

The BG-550D is equipped with a (12) Shutter-Release Button and (14) Main Control
Dial for shooting vertically. These controls perform the same functions as the
corresponding controls on your Canon dSLR Camera. Please refer to your Canon’s
Guide to Digital Photography for more detailed information.
AE-L/AF-L Buttons
The BG-550D is equipped with an (9 ) AF-L Magnify Button, (10) AE-L Reduce Button
and (8) Aperture/Exposure Compensation Button for shooting vertically. These but-
tons perform the same functions as the corresponding buttons on your Canon

detailed information.
