Testing For a Gas Leak
1.
TurninstrumentONandallowittowarmup(approximately60seconds).
2. Theinstrumentisreadytocheckforgasleaksaftertheaudiblealarmbeginsto
beep.Notethattheinstrumentstartsinitshigh-sensitivitymode.
3. Check for the presence of gas by positioning the tip of the flexible probe near the
areatobetested.
4. Anincreaseintherelativeconcentrationofgasisindicatedbythevisualalarm’s
LEDblinkingfasterandtheaudiblealarm’sbeeprateincreasing.
5. Once the presence of the gas has been confirmed, the instrument’s sensitivity
canbeloweredbydoublepressingtheON/OFFbutton(adecreasingfrequency
toneshouldbeheard),allowingthelocationoftheleaktobeeasilypinpointed.
