Unit ID: the Short ID of the unit sending diagnostics.
RSSI Level: Received Signal Strength Indication (in dBm).
Battery Voltage: supply voltage.
Temperature: internal case temperature (in Celsius).
Forward Power: Forward Power (in watts or dBm).
Reverse Power: Reverse Power (in watts or dBm).
Preamble Good: the number of correctly decoded transmissions received in the last 15. Used with Preamble Total,
this serves as an indication of how well the unit is receiving data.
Preamble Total: the number of total transmissions detected, maximum is 15. Used with Preamble Good, this
serves as an indication of how well the unit is receiving data.
XCVR Status: displays the status of the transceiver.
Tx Timeout: A request for a remote unit to transmit causes the unti to transmit on the programmed transmit
frequency until the Tx Timeout Timer expires. Program the Tx Timeout Timer in the Setup Modem/Radio
Parameters/Radio Tab.
Progress: The Progress panel shows the progress of the Get Diags request.
Tx Mode: The Tx Mode combo box allows the user to select different transmit modes when the unit is told to
transmit:
o Tone: the unit will transmit a 1200 Hz tone.
o Mod Balance: the unit will transmit a 100 Hz square wave.
o Random Data: the unit will transmit random data.
o No Modulation: the unit will transmit with no modulation.
External I/O 1 (Pin 3 - Green Wire): When the I/O 1 connection of the Power - I/O Connector is configured as a
Digital Output, External I/O displays the state of the open-collector transistor (ON-Grounded/OFF-Open). If
configured as an Analog Input, External I/O displays the voltage on the connector (in volts). Programming of
External I/O 1 is performed in the Setup Modem/Radio Parameters screen.
External I/O 2 (Pin 4 - White Wire): When the I/O 2 connection of the Power - I/O Connector is configured as a
Digital Output, this displays the state of the open-collector transistor (ON - Grounded / OFF - Open). If configured
as Analog Input, External I/O 2 displays the voltage on the connector (in volts). Programming of the External I/O 2
is performed in the Setup Modem/Radio Parameters screen.
External I/O 1 ON (Grounded): When the I/O 1 connection of the Power - I/O Connector is configured as a Digital
Output, this checkbox is enabled to allow for the change of state of the open-collector output of Pin 3. Clicking on
this check box causes immediate action to change the state of the output. This is true for local or a selected
remote ID.
External I/O 2 ON (Grounded): When the I/O 2 connection of the Power - I/O Connector is configured as a Digital
Output, this checkbox is enabled to allow for the change of state of the open-collector output on Pin 4. Clicking on
this check box causes immediate action to change the state of the output. This is true for local or a selected
remote ID.
