What to do if you smell gas
• Do not try to light appliance.
• Do not touch any electrical switch ; do not use
any phone in your building.
• Clear the ro o m , building or area of all occupants.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a
neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s
instructions.
• If you can not reach your gas supplier, call fire
department.
• Installation and service must be performed by
a qualified installer, service agency, or the gas
supplier.

any other appliance.
GAS CONNECTION INFORMATION
I n s t a l l ation must confo rm with local Gas Codes and
with CAN/CGA-B149, N at u ral Gas Installation Code.
Some local codes re s t rict installation of gas ap p l i a n c e s
in ga rages. Th ey must be 45 cm (18”) off the gro u n d
and protected by a barrier from ve h i c u l e s .
GAS BURNER ORIFICE
This gas dryer is equipped with a Va l ve & Burn e r
A s s e m bly for use ONLY WITH ONE TYPE OF GAS.
Using the ap p ro p ri ate kit, your local serv i c e
o rga n i z ation can conve rt this dryer for use with the
a l t e rn ate fuel.
Use kit WE25M35 to conve rt from Nat u ral Gas to LP
Gases (Pro p a n e ) .
Use kit WE25M36 to conve rt from LP Gases to Nat u ra l
Gas.

GAS SUPPLY
• S u p p ly line is to be 12.7 mm (1/2 in) ri gid pipe.
(9.53 mm (3/8 in) copper tubing may be used if the
d ryer is operated on propane gas) and equipped with
an accessible shutoff within 6 feet (2 m) fro m , and in
the same room with the drye r. Increase pipe size fo r
runs longer than 20 feet (7 m).
• D u ring pre s s u re test:
– When test pre s s u re is in excess of 1/2 PSIG
( 3 . 4 5 k Pa ) , disconnect dryer and its indiv i d u a l
s h u t o ff va l ve from gas supply line prior to test.
– When test pre s s u re is equal to or less than 1/2 PSIG
( 3 . 4 5 k Pa ) , close the dryer shutoff va l ve prior to test.
• A 3.18 mm (1/8 in) National Pipe Taper thre a d
p l u gged tap p i n g, a c c e s s i ble for test ga u ge connection,
must be installed immediat e ly upstream of the ga s
s u p p ly connection to the drye r. Contact your local ga s
utility should you have questions on the installation of
the plugged tap p i n g.
• Pipe dope must be resistant to the action of pro p a n e
and applied spari n g ly to all male thre a d s .
• If local codes perm i t , it is recommended the dryer be
connected to the gas supply with ap p roved semi-ri gi d
metal tubing or listed connectors .
LEAK T E S T
C h e ck all connections for leaks with soapy solution or
e q u ivalent. Leak test solutions must not contain ammonia
wh i ch could cause damage to brass fittings or pipe.
C AU T I O N : NEVER USE AN OPEN FLAME TO
TEST FOR GAS LEAKS.
