Your safety

Maintenance and repair safety

 · Unless specifically recommended in this 

manual, do not repair or replace any part 

of the appliance.

 · Only use genuine replacement parts.

 · Repairs to this appliance must be carried 

out by a qualified technician or appliance 

service technician. Do not attempt to repair 

this appliance yourself.

 · Do not operate the appliance after 

it has been dropped or damaged in 

any manner. Call our customer service 

number for information on examination or 

mechanical repair or adjustment of this 

appliance. 

In case of emergencies 

or accidental fire

 · In the event of a fire, immediately turn the 

appliance off by closing down the damper 

control plate. 

 · To extinguish an accidental fire, use a dry 

chemical or foam-type fire extinguisher. 

These are available from all hardware 

stores. (Always read and follow the 

manufacturer’s instructions before using)

 · For emergency purposes, we recommend 

the installation of an approved fire 

extinguisher in the vicinity of where the 

firegrate is installed. 

 · Never use water or other liquids to 

extinguish a fire on this appliance.
