Zoom In/Out and Shutter Release:
Push this button to activate the shutter release control, and swivel it to the sides in order to activate
the zoom control.
Zoom In/Out
Use the Zoom button to activate optical zoom. Swivel to "W" (Wide) to zoom out, increasing the
area visible in the frame, or to "T" (Tele) to zoom in, so that the subject fills a larger area of the
frame. When the camera is zoomed to the maximum magnification (3.5x), holding "T" triggers
digital zoom. The subject is magnified up to x4, for a total magnification of x14. A monitor
indicator shows the current zoom ratio.
Swivel to "W" in full-frame playback to display pictures in "contact sheets" of four or nine
thumbnail images.
Swivel to "T" to zoom-in on still images displayed in full-frame playback.
When entering a menu, swivel to "T" to view a description of the currently selected menu option.
To return to the original menu, swivel the zoom control to ―T‖ again.
Shutter Release
This is a two-stage shutter-release button. First lightly press the shutter-release button halfway,
stopping when you feel minimal resistance. Once the camera has focused, press the shutter-
release button the rest of the way down to release the shutter and take the picture. Please note that
moving the camera while pressing the shutter-release button may result in blurred pictures.

Power On/Off button:
To turn on the camera, press the power switch. The power-on lamp (green) will turn on for a moment,
the monitor will turn on, and the lens will extend.
To turn off the camera, press the power switch again.
